Services/Resources: South Kern Sol is the youth-led publication of South Kern. South Kern Sol staff are youths between the ages of 14 to 24 from the areas of Greenfield, Arvin, Lamont and Weedpatch.

South Kern Sol is ‘La Luz del Valle’ or in English ‘The Light of the Valley,’ to bring light and truth about the issues that are important to those living in South Kern.  South Kern Sol reporters are well aware that often times mainstream media ignores coverage of South Kern or provides a cookie-cutter approach in their reporting.
